YuanYang, Sichuan.The wee hour of dawn is the best time to witness nature represented in artistic forms in DuoYishou (多依樹-). The terrace paddy fields transforms into a Chinese painting with strokes resembling a master’s brush on a canvas sheet when the sun casts its first few rays on the green pastures. The Zen calmness and serenity exudes a gem-like aura that is a prized sight to behold.

I met this Tibetan boy twice at two different locations at the Monastery. He is special as he didn’t asked for any gift but kept saying “hello’ to me. I met this mother and child at Mt. Siguniangshan (Four Maiden's Mountain). It is a Scenic Area is an unspoiled wilderness park located in western Sichuan Province, near the town of Rilong in Aba Autonomous Prefecture; it is about 220 km from Chengdu. Life is rather harsh for the people at the mountain; this mother was selling some bbq meats, potatoes in the midst of the cold evening. This mother is piggy back her child even just after giving birth to this child just for months.

Inle Lake is located in Myanmar’s western Shan state at the Nyaung Shwe province. The floating gardens made up of aquatic vegetation, foliage and soil which are staked to the lake bottom with bamboo poles. Farmers grow vegetables, tomato and fruits on the garden. The only transportation is possible by boats, mostly small wooden rowing-boats . I took this photo while having my lunch at one of the floating restaurant; it is really a feast to the eyes.

Yuan yang, a self sustaining ecosystem is about 300km south of Kunming. It is renowned for its rice terraces, crafted out by the Hani people. The harvesting is only done once a year. During winter to early spring, the entire field is irrigated with spring water from the forest on the mountains to be prepared for the next season.

Huanglong is renowned for its karst features such as travertine pools and limestone shoals. Calcite deposition has lead to the pools being rich in algae and minerals, which results in orange, yellow, blue and turquoise green coloured waters. The total length of the travertine is 3.6km and it is thought to look like a huge golden dragon wheeling through the snow-capped mountains of the valley.
